Regal Entertainment Group Offers Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in 3D at 248 Locations

Tickets on sale for both IMAX 3D and DIGITAL 3D

Knoxville, Tennessee - September 10, 2009 - Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, announced today that tickets are on sale for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs: An IMAX 3D Experience  and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in DIGITAL 3D. The film will be released in traditional 35mm format, digital projection, DIGITAL 3D and IMAX® 3D beginning Friday, September 18. The movie will be playing in IMAX 3D or DIGITAL 3D at a total of 248 Regal Entertainment Group theatres across the country.

Regal Entertainment Group will present Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in DIGITAL 3D at 248 theatres utilizing RealD^® 3D projection systems to provide true-to-life 3D. RealD is a new generation of digital 3D, giving moviegoers a stunningly realistic movie experience that engages the imagination, activates the senses and invites the audience not only to watch a film, but also step inside the story. Audience members will utilize comfortable, lightweight glasses to view the film's 3D effects. These glasses can be taken home as souvenirs of the movie or recycled as guests exit the presentation.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs: An IMAX 3D Experience will be available at 34 Regal Entertainment Group IMAX^® Theatres across the country. In IMAX 3D, images leap off of the screen and into the laps of the audience, further enhancing the feeling of being IN the movie. This is made possible by a combination of IMAX's powerful 3D projection system - which simultaneously projects two separate images onto the IMAX screen - and polarized IMAX 3D glasses that audience members wear to fuse the two images into a single 3D motion picture. The IMAX Experience is powered by a combination of sharp, bright images, crystal clear digital surround sound and custom-designed theatres.

Columbia Pictures' and Sony Pictures Animation's Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs will be the most delicious event since macaroni met cheese. Inspired by the beloved children's book, the film focuses on a town where food falls from the sky like rain. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is rated PG for brief mild language.
